Gail Vick Barnhardt, Calligrapher and Artist

Biographical Information

Teacher, lettering artist and graphic designer Gail Vick Barnhardt holds a BFA in Graphic Design and a MFA in Printmaking/Painting from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, NY. Her teaching experience includes more than two decades at RIT, and also at the Rochester Museum and Science Center, and Community education. She has also taught lettering and design workshops around the U.S. and at five previous lettering arts conferences. Her work is included in the Speedball Textbook, Florilege, Lettering Art and the Calligraphy Engagement Calendar and has appeared in regional, national, and international exhibitions.
