Mark Stephens

Biographical Information

Mark studied at Brigham Young University under two nationally known artists; fantasy painter James C. Christensen, and classical figure painter William Whitaker. Like them, he has a love for painterly realism and has since created paintings that have a wide variety of subject matter. Whether he paints flowers, figures, or landscapes, he hopes to create beautiful images that can uplift people and influence them temporarily to forget the daily routine of life, perhaps to enjoy an unexpected aesthetic visual experience.

In addition to having his paintings in public and private collections, Mark has created hundreds of illustrations for Hallmark Cards, Inc. He presently resides in Lenexa, Kansas with his wife, six children and a cat.
