Celebrate the life of St. Teresa of Avila with this stunning printed mug. Canonized in 1622, St. Teresa of Avila is the patron saint of Headache sufferers and Spanish Catholic Writers. Growing up as a Carmelite nun, St. Teresa found herself unfullfilled in prayer and constantly struggling with the feeling that she was constantly sinning. After suffering seizures caused by malaria, a priest convinced St. Teresa to turn again to prayer. She began to find peace and spiritual delights in her prayers to God. St. Teresa founded the Discalced Carmelites and was declared in 1970 a Doctor of the church for her writing and teachings on prayer.
The prayer on the mug reads "Christ has no body on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours. Yours are the eyes through which Christ's compassion for the world is to look out. Yours are the feet with which he is to go abot doing good. And yours are the hands with which he is to bless us now. St. Teresa of Avila
