Biographical Information: Scott Freeman is an artist/designer by profession, working in both the fine art and commercial art fields. A graduate of the Kansas City Art Institute in Kansas City, Missouri, he received his BFA in 1982, majoring in painting/printmaking. Scott has worked in a variety of creative fields over the years, and is proficient in a variety of artistic media, but his first love continues to be painting. After working nearly ten years as a greeting card illustrator/designer at Hallmark Cards Inc. in Kansas City, he left in 2001 to pursue his fine art painting career full time. An avid plein air painter, Scott is drawn to western landscape and spends a good portion of his time painting the Colorado landscape on location. “I have loved the western landscape since childhood,” muses Scott. “For me now as an artist it still contains endless possibilities for adventure.” Scott resides in downtown Loveland with his artist wife, Mollie, and their five children.
