Hodie Christus natus est
In the stillness of that holy night, came the sound of angels singing, rejoicing, and proclaiming the birth of the Newborn King! Wishing you all the blessings of this glorious season.
But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid; for see—I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord. "
Contemporary image of an angel dressed in a red robe and holding a mandolin. The Gregorian chant "Haec Dies" ("This day Christ was born", the Magnificat antiphon for Christmas Day for the Liturgy of the Hours) is in the background.
