Our commitment to your privacy

Your privacy is important to us. We know that information privacy is a concern for internet users and so we provide this description of our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. The bottom line is this:

Cookies

A "cookie" is a small piece of data that our web server sends to the browser program on your computer. The cookie is placed in your computer's memory when you first add an item to your cart and is removed by your browser when you close all of its windows. The way we use information

We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to the extent necessary to complete that order. We share your name and shipping address with UPS, FEDEX or the US Postal Service so that they may accomplish the delivery of your merchandise. Your credit card information is shared with the credit card network so that our bank can be credited with your charge.

We'll use your email address only when we are confirming your internet order, notifying you of any changes/updates to your order or notification about new products, special offers and other Printery House news. Your email address will not be made available to other companies without your permission. You may opt not to receive our email newsletter of special offers, etc.

If you request a catalog or place an order, we will add you to our customer list  and you will likely receive catalogs in the future from The Printery House. We occasionally make our customer list available to other reputable mail order companies whose products may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive mailings from these companies, or if you do not wish to receive our catalog, you may opt-out by sending a brief note with your name, address, and/or customer number (enough information to uniquely identify you among our customers) to us via mail, fax, or e-mail to sales@printeryhouse.org and tell us to remove your name from our mailing list. Data security

When sensitive information is exchanged with you, we use SSL (Secure Socket Layer)  data encryption to prevent electronic eavesdropping. We take all prudent measures to protect the privacy of your information (as well as our own) within our company networks. Our employees are honest, well-known to us, and trained to respect the confidentiality of customer information.

1. Please describe the nature of the services that SLI Systems provides

SLI Systems provides a self-learning, automated SaaS product which optimizes customers' product discovery on e-commerce sites.

2. What type of personal data does SLI Systems collect, use or have access to about site visitors ("Personal Data") and why does SLI collect this Personal Data?

SLI Systems collects Personal Data to fulfil our contractual obligations to our clients and also process it for our legitimate business interests to enable them to provide their services (product search).

SLI Systems collects the following data as part of its service to The Printery House:

We collect data regarding IP address, user agent, browser encoding, and browser language to allow us to assist in spider detection so that traffic identified as non-human traffic can be deducted from the client's search query limit and navigation query limit for the purposes of invoicing the client. The IP address is also used to separate traffic from the client's consumers, and client employees or client call centres, etc, so that the client can understand how only external consumers are using the site.
We use session identifiers during analytics processing, which is used to identify multiple requests that are performed by a single visitor.
We collect data regarding phrases that have been used to search, which facets have been selected to refine the results set, which products have been viewed or selected from a result set (e.g. search, navigation, recommendations), what products have been purchased and the price paid. Additionally, we collect other data regarding the request, including but not limited to the referring page, the number of results requested, the selected sort order, the recommendations strategy identifier seen or selected, the landing page identifier.

3. Does any of the data collected include Sensitive Personal Information?

SLI Systems does not collect any Sensitive Personal Information, being (1) data that is legally classified as sensitive (e.g. race, religious belief, biometric, sexual orientation etc) or (2) data that could be considered sensitive (e.g. data about children, financial data, etc. (defined as 'special categories of data' under the GDPR)).

4. How is the data stored, where is it stored and for how long?

The data we collect is primarily stored and processed on infrastructure provided by Google Cloud in the USA.

A supplementary system stores and processes data on infrastructure provided by Rackspace, USA.

Where a legal requirement requires us to retain personal data for a specific minimum period, we will retain data for at least that period. When we determine the retention period for our storage of personal data we hold, we retain the personal data for so long as we think is appropriate to enable us to process it for our legitimate interests, whilst balancing this against our obligation under the GDPR to minimise data we hold, ensuring the data we retain is proportionate and having regard to the nature and sensitivity of the personal data and the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of any personal data we hold.

5. Who has access to the Personal Data?

Access is restricted to SLI Client Facing Engineering, Engineering, and Product Management personnel who are provided access with Personal Data to the extent required to enable them to perform their role.

6. Does SLI Systems use any Personal Information other than to perform the services described above?

No, we do not use any of the Personal Data we collect for purposes other than those described above.

7. What Group Companies (subsidiaries, affiliates or other group companies) are used to provide any part of SLI services?

SLI is publicly listed in New Zealand and has entities in the UK, USA and Japan. We tend to use the entity most local to our clients to contract with them.

Our New Zealand, UK and USA based entities provide customer support functions throughout our group.

Our New Zealand and UK based engineers provide support for the entire group. [Where a transfer of personal data outside of the EEA is required to enable us to support our clients, SLI shall ensure this transfer only takes place in a manner which complies with the transfer restrictions in the GDPR].

8. What elements of the SLI Systems service are subcontracted, with details?

The processing of Site Visitor data is carried out on infrastructure provided by Google Cloud and Rackspace hosting. Where SLI appoints a sub-processor to provide services which involve the further processing of Personal Data, SLI shall ensure that its contracts with such sub-processors comply with the requirements set out in the GDPR.

9. Have you appointed a Data Protection Officer?

10. Do the SLI services involve the transfer of data outside of the EU?

Yes, in order to perform our services, Personal Data may be transferred outside of the EU (including the storage of Personal Data on the infrastructure of those providers mentioned above). As a data processor, we are reliant on you (the data controller) for determining the lawful basis for processing the information processed by SLI about your site visitors. We only process personal data in accordance with your instructions to us.

Our processing of personal data is undertaken to improve the functionality of your site, to personalise the experience of visitors to your site and for statistical purposes, each of which may be considered in your legitimate interests.

14. Who obtains the consent and in what context?

The Printery House is responsible for obtaining and managing consent from site visitors to process visitor personal data. We do this through the use of this notice, as well as a site-wide notice. When the notice is dismissed, a cookie is set on the user's computer to indicate that the policy has been accepted.
