Biographical Information: A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Susan Jane received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in illustration and design from Washington University. She lived in Kansas City for three years, working as a designer for Hallmark Cards before returning to St. Louis to marry and raise her family. Susan Jane has two sons, Jeff and Brad. Her recognitions include: * The selection of "The Mysterious Star" (Concordia) illustrated by Susan, as the Chicago Tribune's full page, 4 color Christmas presentation. * Winning the Linweave Award for illustrations for "Thoughts of Color" (McGraw Hill). * Winning Chicago Reading Roundtable awards for illustrations in "Peach Pit Popularity" and "The Salty Scarecrow Solution" (David C. Cook). Susan Jane is currently employed by the St. Louis Science Center as an Graphic Designer and Illustrator. She received a 4500 hour service pin in 2000 as well. |
